Dr. Kara Brock, DPM is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and the founder of Aloe Surgical. She is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care with a focus on limb preservation, wound care, and both surgical and nonsurgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Brock earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at Des Moines University. She went on to complete an intensive surgical residency at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, where she trained in advanced diabetic limb salvage and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. She has published multiple peer review journal articles on the topics of diabetic wound care and amputation prevention.
For three years, Dr. Brock served rural populations as a podiatric surgeon at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, a critical access hospital in eastern Arizona. This experience deepened her commitment to equitable care and shaped her long-term focus on expanding access to healthcare in underserved communities.
She later served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Arizona, where she worked in a multidisciplinary academic setting and helped train the next generation of surgeons. During this time, she was also a member of the nationally recognized Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA), a multispeciality physician team dedicated to the treatment and research of diabetic foot care and amputation prevention.
As a lifelong learner and advocate for health equity, she is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) with an expected graduation in 2026. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Health from the University of Arizona. This specialized training deepened her understanding of the unique health challenges faced by underserved communities. It also informed her clinical philosophy of community-based healthcare—principles she incorporates into her practice today.
Dr. Brock is board certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Her clinical approach combines technical excellence with a deeply personalized treatment philosophy, ensuring each patient receives the time, attention, and customized care they deserve.
At Aloe Foot and Ankle, Dr. Brock combines surgical expertise with compassion to provide comprehensive, individualized care in a welcoming, community-focused environment. Her mission is to treat each patient with dignity, empathy, and the highest standard of care.
